Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

(აკრედიტაცია-ავტორიზაცია და ხარისხის უზრუნველყოფა განათლებაში)

Introduction and aim: Student learning outcomes assessment is an ongoing process which consists of four stages: creating clear and measurable student learning outcomes, implementing a program designed to help students achieve those outcomes, gathering and analyzing data to assess student learning outcomes, and closing the loop.

Research methodology: Student learning outcomes at program level should be in line with program mission and objectives. Bloom's Revised Taxonomy is often used to draft student learning outcomes. Curriculum map is created in order to make sure that students are granted enough learning opportunities to meet learning outcomes. Direct and indirect methods of assessment are used to measure student learning outcomes.

Results and implications: At the closing the loop stage, assessment data is used to improve teaching, learning and assessment itself.

Conclusion: Student learning outcomes assessment is one of the most effective ways of improving teaching and learning.
