Proper Occupational Choice is the Guarantee of Successful Activity

Introduction and aim: Acute economic crisis which followed to the transitional process on the market economics in our country, internal conflicts, raised many social problems. The circumstance that many industrial factories are closed and investments in the education are reduced, made a negative impact on the system if occupational education. Many occupational leaning establishments have been closed and others tried to find the way of survival by establishing of leaning courses requiring payment, for example, computer programs, accounting courses and others. The former relations with industrial enterprises was interrupted, teaching didn’t comply with new requirements of the market economics. All these didn’t stimulate negative image of this type of education in the society. This kind of education finally lost attraction in the society.

The goal of research is based on the question that the market requirements are increased on skilled specialist in separate fields. This is very distinguished mostly on such occupations as are: builder, technician, electrician, as well as specialists of service, hotel and restaurant, agricultural businessmen, family personnel and others. Their deficiency importantly impedes economic development and competitiveness of the country. Therefore, we tried to study current situation in the system of occupational education and draw proper conclusions.

Research methodology: In the work there is represented all those processes with their advantages and disadvantages, statistic showings, which have an impact on occupational education and employment. Here are given governmental resolutions, materials of the research and strategies of occupational education in 2013-2020.

Results and implications: The research established the most required professions, which requires orientated education to the labour market, as proper occupational choice is the guarantee of successful activity. The graduates can transfer their skills in private as well as state enterprises.

Conclusion: We’d like to note that occupational education which is mainly obtained by state financing and is a priority of the country, is very essential and supports to the employment of the population and solving problems of social integration. Therefore, reforms in the system of occupational education in Georgia is important not only for education and training but for development of human resources as a main capital for economic growth of the country. Any further development of economics is mainly depended on the quality of human resources.
