Social Networks and Learning Processes

Introduction and aim: Rapid development of information and communication technologies leads to a heated debate about the place and a role of social networks in modern educational process. Let's notice what is talked today already about mobile training, virtual training, that is about change of an educational paradigm in general, about approach of a so-called era of electronic pedagogics.

Research methodology: Observation of training process was used as research methodology, which has shown that at mobile training, along with other methods, there are certain features for assessment and practical applicability.

Results and implications: The most "advanced" Internet users are representatives of the younger generation. Unfortunately, they are attracted more by not training materials, but the websites having an entertaining focus to which by right it is possible to carry also various social networks. It is known that social networks were created for the purpose of virtual interaction of people, establishing communication. As all users are equal according to the status, communication becomes more open and easy. The student can without fear and work to ask the teacher a question concerning the passable subject and to receive the complete answer.

Possibilities of use of modern social networks do not allow to be guided any more only by lecture and seminar occupations which constitute a basis of traditional training process of students and underestimation of this circumstance can deprive domestic education of a strategic benefit.

Conclusion: The studying based on a problem enters the new strategy of training and assessment of knowledge. Changes the training purpose. It is focused not only on obtaining the prepared knowledge, but also on development of skill. The student, a subject of interactive training, is its active participant.
